“A fantastic moment”

German big man Robin Benzing is looking forward to the chance to confront some of the best teams in Europe at the Love Cyprus Basketball Tournament.

- How far can Germany make it in the FIBA World Championships?
Our goal is to reach the next round and the knock out stage. Then we will go from game to game. Of course, we will be an even better team with Dirk Nowitzki on our side.

- Will playing in the Love Cyprus Basketball Tournament give an advantage for your preparation ahead of the World Championships in Turkey?
Of course, it’s a good tournament with great teams, so we will use these games to get better. It’s definitely an advantage for us to play in the Love Cyprus Basketball Tournament.

- Which opponent are you really looking forward playing against in the Love Cyprus Basketball Tournament?
I can’t say I prefer some particular player or team to confront there. For me every game will be a fantastic moment, since all the teams we will face in Cyprus are considered some of the top sides in Europe.

- Your career is really on the up rise lately. Which are your personal goals?
My dream and goal is to play in the NBA. That is what I’m working hard to achieve.
